If you go to Avilés you have to go to the mountain, to the beach... But if you go in determinate months, you may participate in some festivities:
January: the Three Kings Day (5th of January.)
February: Carnival.
March and April: Easter.
May: There is the Day of El Puchero (The Cooking Pot). A couple dressed with the Asturias typical drees break a pitcher and they have to kiss the same times as pieces are of the broken picher.
June: They celebrate the night of San Juan (24th) and the Night of San Pedro (29th).
July: The night of the 15th is the night of El Carmen, and the 25th the night of Santa Ana. The second fortnight there is the Festival Intercéltico de Avilés.
August: San Agustin is the Patron Saint of the city. They do the Beer Festival.
