Renting a room in a hostel is a great way to cut travel costs and results in you having the extra spends to go on souvenirs for the loved ones, enjoyable meals in the local town and long and lazy lunches complete with local wine.

Hostels are certainly not what they used to be; they really have come a long way, the majority offering hotel like service for only a fraction of the cost. You should never disregard the option of a hostel because they really do make all destinations possible – even the frighteningly expensive ones! So perhaps after enjoying the mountainous scenery and good fresh air of Spain’s Costa Verde you would like to go for the opposite extreme and live the city life of London for a couple of days…even though you’ve already had the one holiday in the beautiful Asturias, by considering hostels, you still can take a city break too!

That is, of course, if you are smart when making your plans. The London hostels are modern and well-equipped yet at an incredibly more reasonable price than the central hotels…just have a look, you’ll be shocked at the difference! And, whilst you’re on a roll saving money, why not look into cheap travel options too? British rail tickets or car sharing for example.
